“A+” is short and easy to read and remember, especially considering that the staff at A+ Nails and Alterations in Stewartville strive to consistently be “awesome, outstanding, and perfect. Customer satisfaction is our priority,” says owner, Tri Nguyen, a perfectionist and lifelong lover of arts and crafts.
A+ Nails and Alterations opened in June 2015, “and it’s been the best move yet for me,” says Nguyen, who came to Minnesota (Twin Cities) from Vietnam 13 years ago, “I love Stewartville a lot. I’ll stay here permanently if I can.” Most of all, he loves the small-town, friendly atmosphere. He particularly enjoys hearing customers’ stories about Stewartville, especially long-time residents.
The business currently has around 70 reviews on Internet sites, with all reviews averaging a near-perfect, five-star rating.
Nguyen says, “Lots of clients are so supportive and wonderful that we could get those encouraging reviews and ratings.” How he keeps every customer happy every time? “Once they come in, they will be hooked,” he laughs, “because I always make sure everyone is happy coming in, leaving, and coming back.” He also uses social media to stay connected to the customers and bring awareness to his business.
Nguyen says the most challenging part of the business is getting and keeping clients who live in Rochester and get their nails done there for convenience. However, he says, the current customer base keeps the salon busy.
Nguyen hopes that A+ Nails and Alterations is first on people’s minds when they want a manicure, and that customers will continue to spread positive word of mouth and referrals following their awesome experiences there.
“We are small, but we can offer so much—nails, alterations, jokes, singing, and most importantly, we can guarantee you get more than what you pay for from us.”
