Hy-Vee HeathMarket Rx (HealthMarket) opened its current location in Stewartville, which was formerly Weber & Judd Pharmacy, on April 15, 2019. Hy-Vee has a total of 29 HealthMarkets which are located throughout the Midwest including nine (9) stores in the Rochester area. The Stewartville location serves mostly Stewartville residents, but also assists many residents in surrounding communities.
The Stewartville HealthMarket and its five (5) employees work hard to ensure that a number of important products and services are available to residents and businesses in the City. For example, the full-service pharmacy sells over-the-counter medications, hygiene products, vitamins, supplements and other health related items in addition to some seasonal products such as bird seed, charcoal, Christmas décor, shampoos, Hallmark cards and more. The HealthMarket demonstrates its Stewartville Tiger pride by offering local school apparel as well. Some patrons may not be aware that the HealthMarket’s pharmacy can administer common vaccines (e.g. Flu, Shingles) on-site without a prescription. Another key service that the store has made available is automatic refills for qualifying customers/medications.
The HealthMarket is serious about quality customer service and convenience when it comes to promoting and living a healthy lifestyle. “We do our best to make our customers’ lives easier,” said pharmacy employee Cara Rentz “Our team is diligent about working with insurance companies and managing medications so that our guests never have to worry.” The pharmacy team’s assistance goes beyond selling products, filling medications and administering vaccines. They genuinely enjoy being a trusted resource for their customers. “We are all available and ready to answer most healthy lifestyle questions over the phone or in person. Our goal is to help our customers achieve their health goals,” Rentz continued.
Through the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the HealthMarket has taken steps to create an even safer shopping experience for guests. The staff are following all Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines for proper sanitation including regular cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces—with special attention paid to high contact surfaces. All employees are wearing masks and temporary window panels have been installed at checkouts to protect employees and customers. Furthermore, contactless delivery is being provided at no charge within the City of Stewartville three (3) times per week (M, W, F), drive-through and curbside services are open and accessible, and customers can refill prescriptions online. What’s more, the HealthMarket is actively and continually stocking necessary items like masks, gloves and cleaning supplies. Customers can even call ahead to ask about current availability during normal business hours.
The HealthMarket team clearly takes pride in the services they provide. They are passionate about their responsibilities. “I love being a health care expert that gets to be there for people whether they’re in our store or at home; it’s a great feeling!” said Rentz.
