Posted on November 21, 2017 at 1:11 pmKiwanis Club Sock Drive – With winter approaching, members of the Stewartville Kiwanis Club are thinking about the importance of warm feet. With that in mind, club members have scheduled a sock drive from Monday, Nov. 13 through Saturday, Dec. 2.
They invite local and area residents to bring brand new pairs of socks to Bremer Bank in Stewartville.
Students Raise Money to help Texas School
Posted on November 21, 2017 at 1:03 pmFourth graders at Bear Cave Intermediate School, led by teacher Lynn Bussan, researched hurricanes for a science project and raised funds to help an elementary school in Texas recently damaged by Hurricane Harvey. The students raised $1,116.39, which was sent to Gilbert J. Mircovich Elementary School in Ingleside, Texas, a building badly damaged by the hurricane. #thefutureisbright
